Chasing 139, Ireland loses by 70 runs. West Indies aren’t that good, are they? The highest scorer for Ireland, you guessed it… Mr. Extras, for a whopping 19. Their former captain and current opening bowler Daryl Johnston mentioned pre-game that they have to play out of their skins to win this game against West Indies. Looks like they forgot to bring their bats to the party. 68 all out scoring at 4 runs an over.. Hmm.. Is this the same Ireland that knocked Pakistan out of the 2007 world cup? They have the same core group of players but this is just a plain miserable performance. Perhaps, they forgot to bring along the leprechauns and the good luck charms! Shame on you Ireland. Put up a better fight next time.
